Geo-Domes
Blending luxury and connection to nature, our self-contained Geo-Domes offer a glamping experience like no other. Perched atop our rugged coastal landscape, enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean—and the stars—as you unwind in style.
Our Geo-Domes are a giant window to the ocean, offering spellbinding panoramic views all the way out to Cape Clear, Fastnet Lighthouse, and Alderman Rock at the entrance to Crookhaven. Each of our domes has a skylight which not only provides a perfect view of the starry night sky but also acts as a magnificent light trap during the day.

Facilities
Each Geo-Dome has a kitchen with an induction hob and fridge, as well as a compost toilet, shower and sink. Access to the communal fire pit and the Barrel Top main building is only a short stroll away—so you have everything you need to enjoy a wonderful, relaxing stay.
Sustainability
We have installed a Zero Carbon district heating system to power our heating and hot water with renewable energy.
- To date we have planted over 10,000 native broad leaf trees.
- We have preserved our wetlands as they sink more carbon than woodlands.
- Our Eco-Cabins tread lightly on the earth using ground screw foundations rather than concrete. They are constructed in Ireland using locally sourced and renewable materials wherever possible.
- All accommodation features Irish-made Respa 4-Star Hotel mattresses ensuring you get a comfortable night’s sleep. The Geo-Domes incorporate furniture from the Sofa Company, a carbon-neutral company who support the tradition of furniture making in Vietnam while also utilising recycled fabrics.
House Rules
Because we always put biodiversity and the environment first—as well as your safety—all cars are left in the nearby car park after drop-off.
We want Goleen Harbour to be a restful and relaxing place for all our guests, so Wi-Fi is only available in the Barrel Top main building.
We have a beautiful swimming spot which guests are welcome to use—just off the rocks at Castle Strand. Please note, however, that use of this swimming area is entirely at your own risk!
Pet Friendly?
Due to the location of our Geo-Domes beside our horses as well as their expensive furnishings, they are not pet friendly. However, our Fastnet & Sherkin Eco-Cabins, Bell Tents and campsite pitches are.
