Creating from Ocean Plastics
The aims of this course are:
To foster a practical commitment to removing waste from our shores in order to protect marine life and birds from entrapment in nets and fishing lines and nets, and prevention of the ingestion of plastics and other materials that endanger their health
To use the materials collected to create a range of beautiful and/or useful objects
To promote enthusiasm and creativity, and to provide basic or enhance advanced creative skills of the participants.
This is a thoroughly enjoyable hands-on course, designed to contribute to the commitment of young and old to the improvement of the health of our environment, and to enhance personal creative skills.
Materials: Most materials will be provided, but please bring along a small amount of beach waste (preferably what might fit into a child’s sand bucket) if you are have suitable access.
Wear: Comfortable clothing that you would be happy enough to get wet or a bit dirty in.
Bring gloves if you are particularly fussy about getting your hands a bit dirty.
Duration: 4 hours
With a break.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
